Description

As published on SAM.gov.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, has a requirement for the purchase and installation of an above-ground 60,000-gallon water storage tank at Moore Air Base, Edinburg, Texas. The scope of work includes:

Installation of tank foundation, including concrete supports for pipe, pumps, guardrails, ladders, piping (interior or exterior) and piping brackets, Installation of other equipment attached to the tank, including alarms, gauges, heating equipment, controls, communication, electrical wiring, and lightning protection. Tank installation will be adjacent to the base’s water treatment plant. There is an existing above-ground 40,000-gallon water storage tank located at the WTP.

Upon treatment of raw water, potable water is stored in the existing tank before it’s pumped into the distribution system. The new tank will boost potable water storage capacity and must be online before work begins on the existing tank.
