NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE AND SYNOPSIS: Chemistry and Immunoassay Reagent Testing Supplies in Support of Weed Army Community Hospital at Fort Irwin, California

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE AND SYNOPSIS The U.S. Government, Medical Readiness Contracting Office - West, JBSA - Fort Sam Houston, Texas intends to award a supply contract to provide Chemistry and Immunoassay Reagent Testing Supplies (including equipment, maintenance, and support at no extra cost to the government) in support of Weed Army Community Hospital, Fort Irwin, CA due to the limited unique water laboratory limitations and to the MHS Genesis Network backlog delay. Ordering Period is from 01 October 2024 to 30 September 2028 with one (1) base year and three (3) option year periods. The proposed contract number will be awarded on a sole source Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) action to:

CAGE Code: 03KD1 100 INDIGO CREEK DR ROCHESTER, NEW YORK, 14626-5101, United States Synopsis Description of Supplies: The contractor shall provide Chemistry and Immunoassay Reagent Testing Supplies (including equipment, maintenance, and support at no extra cost to the Government) in support of Weed Army Community Hospital.

The testing can be performed on an integrated analyzer; specifications and features denoted in the Statement of Objective (SOO) installed at the WACH – Department of Pathology. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code that best fits this requirement is– 325413, In-Vitro Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing. The NAICS code selected best fits FSC 6550 – In-Vitro Diagnostic Substances, Reagents, Test Kits, and Sets.

Small Business Size Standard: 1,250 employees. This sole source requirement is issued under the statutory authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(2): For purchases exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT). The requirements at 13.501(a) apply to sole-source (including brand-name) acquisitions of commercial products and commercial services conducted pursuant to subpart 13.5. This notice does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. The U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice.

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and intends to procure from only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(2), that the circumstances of this contract action deem only a sole source is reasonably available to fulfill the stated requirement. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This sole source synopsis is for informational purposes only.
