Full Maintenance Services for the Abiomed Impella Circulatory Assist Units

Notice of Intent to Sole Source The Medical Readiness Contracting Office-West intends to award a sole source contract with Abiomed, Inc. for Full Maintenance Services on the government owned biomed Impella Circulatory Assist Units. Abiomed, Inc. has proprietary rights for all maintenance service, parts and repairs with the existing government owned biomed Impella Circulatory Assist Units currently located at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, Fort Bliss, TX.

The sole source contract will have a period of performance is 1 July 2024 – 30 June 2025 plus two option years. The NAICS code 811210, size standard is $34M. This notice is neither a request for quotes nor a solicitation of offers however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency for future requirements.

The solicitation number is W81K00-24-Q-0139 and is generated for the purposes of posting this notice of intent and the final Justification and Approval (J&A) document. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. All responses received, to include capability statements, within 5 days of the posting of this notice will be considered by the Government.

A determination by the Government not to compete the interim purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
