Description

As published on SAM.gov.

The USDA ARS Southern Regional Research Center (SRRC) intends to issue a commercial solicitation for the procurement of one (1) Benchtop Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Spectrometer.

The requirement is for a complete system capable of measuring spin-active nuclei of chemical compounds to determine structure, identity, concentration, and behavior in solution. Typical protocols include 1D NMR with pulse-field gradient (PFG) and 2D NMR.

Minimum Technical Requirements:
- Nuclei Capabilities: Support 1H, 13C, and 13C {1H} acquisitions in 1D; 2D correlation spectroscopy (COSY, HSQC, HMBC, HETCOR, DEPT, etc.); DOSY and PFG sequences. Ability to perform other decoupled nuclei analysis (e.g., 19F, 31P, 2H, 7Li, 11B, 15N, 23Na) via a freely tunable broadband NMR probe over the range of active NMR nuclei.
- Pulse Programs: Must support customizable, user-defined pulse programs.
- Sample Compatibility: Compatible with aqueous or organic solvent samples in standard 5 mm NMR tubes.
- Magnet & Sensitivity: Permanent magnet (minimum 80 MHz / 1.88 Tesla on proton) with proton sensitivity of approximately 200:1 (S/N). No external cooling or cryogens required.
- Automation: Automated sample analysis, data collection, and sample queuing with a sample changer/carousel supporting at least 20 sample tubes.
- Temperature & Flow Control: Built-in temperature control (e.g., Peltier) spanning approx. 20–60 °C or 0–60 °C. Capable of reaction monitoring with an optional, changeable flow-cell.
- Software & IT: Complete software suite for collecting, analyzing, and exporting data, including all necessary licenses and interfacing cables.
- Workstation & Accessories: Must include a mobile workstation, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), and initial operation consumables (NMR tubes, reference standards, etc.).
- Service & Training: Delivery, on-site installation, operational training, and an included warranty/service plan with options for future renewals.

Place of Performance/Delivery:
USDA ARS Southern Regional Research Center (SRRC)
1100 Allen Toussaint Blvd
New Orleans, LA 70124

Delivery Schedule:
Delivery is required within 180 days after receipt of order (ARO).

Set-Aside Status: Unrestricted
