Please see the amendment attached with the added information for pounds expected, and an answer on the types of containers allowed. The containers used in the past have been 28 gallon containers serviced per location.

The John Pershing VA Medical Center located in Poplar Bluff MO, is looking to establish a service contract for Medical Waste Disposal for the VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff and their associated clinics located in Cape Girardeau, MO West Plains, MO, Sikeston, MO, Farmington, MO and Paragould and Pochontas Arkansas. Please see Section B for the Price/Cost schedule and Section D for the Statement of Work Details.

The government anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Single Award, Five Year Indefinite Delivery – Indefinite Quantity with five 12 month ordering periods. Ordering periods to be issued at the discretion of the government. First ordering Period will begin 06-01-2024. A combination of cardboard (disposable) and plastic (plastic) containers are acceptable. This is common practice for the industry. Please understand that the number of packages does not correlate to weight. The size of the materials placed into these containers vary in size and in weight themselves and the respective awardee will be invoicing based on weight.
