Acid Bath & Leak Repairs

In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) Only One Responsible Source and No other Supplies or Services will satisfy agency requirement. The VA Northern Indiana, Marion Campus 1700 East 38th Street, Marion Indiana 46952 intends to negotiate a Sole Source Award with Shambaugh & Sons, L.P. They are located at 7614 Opportunity DR # 1287 Fort Wayne, Indiana 46825. Three (3) chillers located at the Marion campus require an acid flushing of the condenser.

The contractor shall rinse system with fresh water after flushing, then remove the heads to brush the tubes in the condenser and heat exchange. They shall also be responsible for putting the head back on the chiller and changing the O-Rings in the 3-way valve. Lastly, the contractor shall evaluate the system, and conduct a leak test on the affected items.

The NAICS code for this procurement is 238220 Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning Contractors The size standard - $19 million Product and Service Code (PSC) J041 Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment- Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, and Air Circulating Equipment Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by Friday December 20, 2024 at 4pm EST. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.

A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
