INNOVATIVE IMAGING & RES/I2RGUS AC POWER NOTICE OF INTENT This is a notice of intent to solicit from a single source. The US Geological Survey (USGS) intends to award a purchase order to Innovative Imagining and Research Corp. for a solar powered I2RGUS camera system. The USGS ¿ Pacific Coastal and Marine Science Center has two Argus prototype camera systems that were built by USGS personnel.

The Standard 5 MP Solar Powered I2RGUS camera system by Innovation Imaging & Research is built using the similar components and to the same specifications as the Center owned Argus system. It is essential that there be compatibility of these systems because the images will be uploaded, analyzed, and interpreted for scientific research using the same processing methods and algorithms as the existing Argus camera system.

The system is highly specialized for its intended purpose to acquire images that will be analyzed using photogrammetry methods to measure important beach and surf zone parameters. The system must also be comparable in capabilities to those used in the entire network of Argus stations and be able to fully participate in the Coastal Imaging Research Network. This vendor is the only known commercial vendor who has proven ability to deliver fully integrated systems that meets CIRN compatibility.

Award will be made in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) and the procedures at FAR Part 12 entitled, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 entitled, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Innovative Imaging and Research Corp. is, to the knowledge of the USGS, the only source who can provide these goods, as they manufacture these items and there are no other authorized distributors or resellers in the marketplace.

The purpose of this notice is to satisfy the requirements of FAR Subpart 5.2. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all responsible parties may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. No solicitation will be issued. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received is in the sole discretion of the Government.

The NAICS code 333310 (Commercial and Service Industry Machinery Manufacturing) and PSC 6720 (Cameras, Still Picture) apply to this announcement. Responses or inquiries shall only be accepted through electronic mail addressed to Vnuno@usgs.gov and must be uploaded and received in their entirety no later than, April 14, 2024, at 1200 PT. Responses submitted by hardcopy or through any other web portal shall not be accepted or considered.
