Description

As published on SAM.gov.

Combined Synopsis-Solicitation for Chemical and Mineralogical Analysis of Tailing Samples. The purpose of this amendment is to update Statement of Work and attach list of elements for chemistry. No additional questions may be accepted. The quote due date remains unchanged, 2/7/2024 1500PST. The updated SOW will address the problem with the coarsest fraction. Concentrate and tails will be fine for the coarsest size fraction.

For the mineral ID, middlings and tails will be acceptable; light fractions can be returned to the USGS Project Officer, and can be submitted as the process protocol with contractor's bid. The bid is divided into 3 parts. The separation into size fractions is primary and mandatory part of the bid. The chemistry and mineral identification options may not be achievable by all vendors and may possibly be exercised subject to cost and funding availability.

Contractors are required to sign and return copies to the issuing agency. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. The solicitation number is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) 140G0324Q0030. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2023-06 dated 12/04/2023.
