6640 Laboratory Equipment and Supplies Description: This procurement is for the supply of xMap Salmonella Serotyping Assay kits, manufactured by Luminex Corporation, Catalog #AGSSA4502. RFO FAR 12.201-1 Simplified procedures will be used for awarding the contract.

The anticipated award date is October 12th, 2026. The intended source for this acquisition is Luminex Corporation 12212 Technology Boulevard, Austin, TX 78727. Specific characteristics of Luminex’s xMAP Salmonella Serotyping Assay that limit competition include the use of xMAP technology utilized within the assay to serotype Salmonella by use of the Luminex Serotyping System. This instrument uses xMAP Salmonella Serotyping Assay, which is the only reagent that can be used in this instrument.

The Luminex 200 allows for multiplex uniformity for all testing and is a unique assay to the system. Only Luminex Corporation can furnish the required supplies.
