4240 Safety And Rescue Equipment NAICS: 621910 Rescue services, air with a small business set aside standard of $22.5M applies. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is FAR 13.106-1(b), purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold may be solicited from one source if it is determined that the circumstance of the contract deems only one source available.

Description: The Kentucky Army National Guard intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) to Air Rescue System for the UH60-L (attached) Air Rescue equipment. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, or quotation which shall be considered by the Government. The Government will consider responses received by the deadline set in this notice.

Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining how to proceed with the planned sole source acquisition for this requirement. The Government will not pay for any information, or quotes, received in response to this announcement. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 621910, with a small business size standard of $22.5M.

A determination not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Department. Note Air Rescue equipment must be Airworthiness (AWR) Approved with Certificate of traceability to the original manufacturer. AWR ensures safety compatibility with the host aircraft.
