Notice of Intent- MATLAB Software Purchase

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), pursuant to FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(B), intends to purchase licensed software on a sole source basis. USACE has a need to procure MATLAB software. The contract action will be firm-fixed price Delivery Order placed through the Army Computer Hardware Enterprise Software and Solutions (CHESS) system. In accordance with Army Regulation 25-1 CHESS is Army’s required source for purchases of commercial off- the-shelf (COTS) software, desktops, and laptops computers.

This is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. Interested parties may provide specific information to USACE regarding their product for consideration as to whether their product meets the needs of the Government. Other information may be requested after initial response, either from individual respondents or all respondents. This notice is the only document that will be published notifying interested vendors of the Government’s intent. Interested vendors are advised that information provided to the Government in regard to the product components proposed will be considered proprietary information (unless clearly marked as available to the general public) and will not be released to the public or other interested vendors.

The Government may retain this information for its records indefinitely. Any vendor wishing to propose an alternative source must provide a copy of all relevant data demonstrating that the alternative source satisfies the above requirements to Denisse Soto at denisse.m.soto@usace.army.mil and Nicholas Emanuel at Nicholas.P.Emanuel@usace.army.mil.
