Autoclave Support, Preventative Maintenance, and Troubleshooting

The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Natick Division in support of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command – Soldier Center (DEVCOM-SC) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract on a sole source basis to ASC Process Systems, Inc., located at 28402 Livingston Ave, Valencia, CA 91355-4172, under the authority as prescribed in FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).

The requirement is for remote support, including troubleshooting and training, as well as onsite preventative maintenance service for an ASC Process Systems Econoclave 2x4. ASC Process Systems is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of this system, and they are the only known vendor with the required experience and specialized knowledge of the specific equipment layout, connections, software organization, and software commands to be able to provide the required support and preventative maintenance.

Market research has demonstrated that this econoclave is a specialized piece of equipment that requires detailed knowledge of components, functions, and processes. It is essential that the service is performed correctly by an experienced technician as equipment failure could result in severe damage to property or person because this equipment is a pressurized vessel with heating capability.
