Notice of Intent to Sole Source

This is a notice of intent to issue a sole source purchase order using simplified acquisition procedures for BLU-109 and BLU-137 munitions custom-engineered industrial-grade fixtures tailored specifically for high-resolution computed tomography (CT) for use at McAlester Army Ammunition Plant.

Only one authorized supplier, VJ Technologies, proprietary technology, has the material and technical ability to ensure a uniform compatibility and performance to match existing integrated equipment and systems already in place. Any purchase order will be awarded under 'other than full and open competition' as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. This is not a request for offers.

A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurements for this item.
