USAID/Egypt intends to modify the STEM Teacher Education and School Strengthening Activity (STESSA), Contract number 72026318C00003, implemented by The 21st Century Partnership for STEM Education (21PSTEM), increasing the Total Estimated Cost (TEC) by $5,055,034 from $24,270,177 to $29,325,211, and extending the period of performance twenty (20) months.

These changes will enable necessary implementation of activities, including (i) solidifying the policy changes necessary to implement STEM education on a nationwide basis; (ii) replicating higher education activities in additional universities; (iii) concluding research regarding the activity’s education and training programs, in order to refine programming and curricula in line with 2024 education quality standards; and (iv) revising and finalizing the development and transfer of technological resources to relevant entities.

Based on market research, it has been determined that this procurement action can only be facilitated with 21PSTEM. USAID/Egypt intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.
