Request for Information – Concepts for Operation and Utilization of on-site/near-site Buildings and Space at Goddard Space Flight Center

The Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) advances NASA’s mission by leading scientific research, and by building, launching, and operating instruments and spacecraft. As a science center, GSFC seeks to understand the Earth and to explore the universe through a robust program of scientific research in Earth science, astrophysics, heliophysics, and planetary science. The GSFC Master Plan calls to explore new partnerships that reinforce GSFC’s vision.

Potential partnership areas have been designated along the south perimeter and in the north quadrant of the campus. This Request for Information (RFI) concerns the land at the previous Building 2 (B.2) site and the site North of Building 27 (B.27) which may potentially include B.27N (see attached maps) for on-site/near-site opportunities for industry consideration.

Both sites are currently located inside secured NASA fencing, requiring all employees and visitors to go through NASA Procedures and Polices for badging and escorting. However, NASA is assessing the potential relocation of fence lines to allow for public access. Power, Sewer, Communication, and Steam utilities are all located in the vicinity of the sites.
