A need is anticipated for DAID Spheres, which is used during aerial prescribed burning located at Fort Stewart, Georgia. These DAID Spheres are pyrotechnic balls dispensed from a helicopter and bursts into flames upon contact with the ground. REQUIRED CAPABILITIES The DAID Spheres shall have the following salient characteristics:

Shell Material:

High Impact Polystyrene Diameter: 1.12 inches / 32 mm Potassium Permanganate Inside Sphere: 0.11 oz / 3.0 g Total Mass: 0.17 oz / 4.8 g Ignition Delay: 20-30 seconds at 50°F Vendors must provide delivery lead time.
