Notice of Intent - VIAcoustics Head and Torso Simulator

PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a one-time, sole-source, fixed-price contract to VIAcoustics, for the purpose of procuring: (1) VIAcoustics Head and Torso Simulator (HATS) + On-site Installation and Training Based on Market Research, it has been determined that VIAcoustics Inc., is the only company that can provide the requested items/services.

Market research has determined that other manufacturing and specifications cannot best meet the required specifications needed. This notice will be distributed solely through the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fbo.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Classification System Code is 334516 Semiconductor and Related Device Manufacturing.

The FBI intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-2. Interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement to the attention of Jonathan Johnson via email at jejohnson3@fbi.gov by Monday April 29, 2024 (1:00 pm Eastern). Only timely email responses will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses received in response to this notice is at the discretion of the Government. J&A document available upon request.
