Request for Quote (RFQ) number is N6660425Q0004 This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6-Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued.

In accordance with FAR 5.203(b) this combined synopsis and solicitation will be posted for less than fifteen (15) days. This requirement is being solicited on an unrestricted basis as concurred with by the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334418: Printed Circuit Assembly (Electronic Assembly) Manufacturing.

The Small Business Size Standard is 750. NUWCDIVNPT intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract to Curtiss-Wright DS, Inc. (CAGE Code 0Y9V5) on a sole source basis to maintain compatibility between components and as Curtiss-Wright does not authorize resellers. The Government estimates the associated impacts to budget and schedule by moving to a different manufacturer would be too costly to offset the potential savings from competition. This solicitation is not a request for competitive quotes.

A determination not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Quotes received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. The contractor shall perform services on-site at NUWCDIVNPT, Newport RI. Access instructions to NUWCDIVNPT are provided as Attachment 1 to this notice.
