Taxiway Centerline Lights

Notice of intent to use a brand name product. The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, Pacific (NAVFAC Pacific) is conducting market research in accordance with FAR Part 10 to identify potential manufacturers capable of producing taxiway centerline lights that has equal performance and listing/approval requirements as the ADB Safegate Reliance 2 (Part Number Bi Straight CG, Bi Straight GY, Bi Curve GG, Bi Curve GY, Uni Straight G, Uni Straight Y, Uni Curve G, and Uni Curve Y) that is manufactured by ADB Safegate.  Responses from third-party distributors, pass through resellers, or supply brokers who do not directly own the production line or manufacturing rights to a qualified equivalent product will not be considered responsive to this market survey.   

FY26 Project WWXT240800 Multi-Purpose Apron and Taxiway, located on Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base Tindal (TDL), Australia requires taxiway centerline lighting that demonstrates the following salient characteristics:   

• Taxiway centerline light types must have photometric performance characteristics in accordance with the requirements of Part 139 MOS, ICAO Annex 14 and DASDRM Section 6 and must exactly match the photometric performance of other LED taxiway centreline lights installed on the Aerodrome, namely lights installed on parallel Taxiway Alpha. 

• Taxiway centerline lights must have compatibility of components with other LED taxiway centerline lights installed on the Aerodrome to facilitate interchangeability and maintenance per the requirements of the Department of Defence policy Handbook of Infrastructure Engineering – Aerodromes (HIE-A) 

• Taxiway centerline lights must be compatible with the existing light base types ADBSG Reliance 8 inch (Part Number RSAM301P3NYNM101) to ensure interchangeability and that the mechanical performance off the fittings are compliant with the requirements of FAA Advisory Circular No. 150/5345-46 

This is not a request for proposals, quotes, or an invitation for bid. The intent of this notice is to identify potential alternative taxiway centerline lights that will satisfy agency requirements. To be considered, please submit detailed technical data in order for the Government to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of your product to ensure compatibility with the existing system. In accordance with FAR 15.101(c)(2), a response to this notice is not an offer and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The responder is solely responsible for the information it submits and any associated costs. The Government reserves the right to disregard any submittal that is incomplete or vague. Please do not submit company brochures.
