Notice of intent to use a brand name product. The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, Pacific (NAVFAC Pacific) is conducting market research in accordance with FAR Part 10 to identify potential manufacturers capable of producing apron edge lights that have equal performance and listing/approval requirements as the ADB Safegate Reliance 8 inch (Part Number RSAM301P3NYNM101) that is manufactured by ADB Safegate. Responses from third-party distributors, pass through resellers, or supply brokers who do not directly own the production line or manufacturing rights to a qualified equivalent product will not be considered responsive to this market survey.

-
Inset apron edge light types must have compatibility of components with other LED apron edge lights installed on the Aerodrome to facilitate interchangeability and maintenance per the requirements of the Department of Defense policy Handbook of Infrastructure Engineering – Aerodromes (HIE-A)
-
Apron edge lights must be compatible with the existing light base types ADBSG Reliance 8 inch (Part Number RSAM301P3NYNM101) to ensure interchangeability and that the mechanical performance of the fittings are compliant with the requirements of FAA Advisory Circular No. 150/5345-46
