Sole Source to Kongsberg Underwater Technology LLC for AML Upgrade Kit

Sole Source to Kongsberg Underwater Technology LLC per the attached Sole Source Justification. Synopsis KONGSBERG AML UPGRADE KIT The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division, FL (NSWC PCD) intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price purchase order using simplified acquisition procedures to Kongsberg Underwater Technology, LLC (KUTL) for the AML Upgrade Kit.

This procurement is sole source for the following reason: KUTL is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the equipment that this upgrade kit will be used with. As the OEM, KUTL has proprietary knowledge of the inner operations and requirements of their equipment, making them the only source for the item(s) listed in this procurement. If another brand were to be selected, the hardware would have to be tested, documentation revised/updated, resulting in project delay and unplanned project costs and overrun.
