Center Wing Box Kit and Technical Data Package for C-130J BUNO 17000/S/N 5483

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) KC-130J Program Office (PMA-207) awarded a sole source Contract to Lockheed Martin Aircraft Corporation (LMAC). The contract provides the supplies and services to produce an Extended Service Life Center Wing Box (CWB) for C-130J BUNO 170000/S/N 5483, hereafter referred to as Fat Albert.

The CWB kit for this procurement consists of the following top kits, 3368600-5, 3368600-7 and 3368600-9 which are all common to all models of C-130J and a variant-specific conversion kit that is based on the equipment and accessories installed on Fat Albert will be designed and delivered.

Additionally, the contract provides for deliverables in support of updating aircraft publications and kit installation, technical drawing package, Time Compliant Technical Order, parts list, weight and balance information, and an engineering change proposal.

This sole source acquisition was procured pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. §3204(a)(1), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Suppliers or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.” LMAC is the sole designer, developer, and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the C-130J/T aircraft and is the only known source with the necessary technical data, knowledge, proprietary drawings, and expertise with the subject aircraft to provide the required supplies and services.
