Medical Document Destruction Services

The Defense Health Agency (DHA) Central Markets Contracting Division (CM-CD) intends to award a firm fixed price contract for Medical Document Shredding Services using the policies and procedures of FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This requirement will be solicited as a total small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 561990-All Other Support Services.

The Product and Service Code (PSC) is R614 – Support – Administrative: Paper Shredding. The Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) at Cannon Air Force Base (AFB), New Mexico, Buckley Space Force Base (SFB), Colorado, Peterson SFB, Colorado and Schriever SFB, Colorado requires contractor support to provide non-personal services to include all labor, parts, tools, materials, and transportation necessary to provide regularly scheduled, on-site document destruction services.

Document destruction services shall be performed on-site on a monthly basis (12 times per year).

The contractor shall provide secure lockable storage containers, on-site destruction, and disposal of confidential documents to include sensitive Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and Protected Health Information (PHI) requiring proper handling and destruction under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and the Privacy Act of 1974. Services are expected to begin no later than 30 September 2024. The period of performance will be a 12-month base period and three (3) 12-month option periods thereafter, with the option to extend services for an additional six months in accordance with FAR clause 52.217-8.

The solicitation, any documents related to this procurement, and all amendments will be issued in electronic form. The solicitation will be posted to this site (SAM.gov). The solicitation is expected to be available on or about 22 August2024.
