Description

As published on SAM.gov.

Raven Rock Mountain Complex (RRMC) for the Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) located in Adams County, Pennsylvania has an annual hydrostatic testing, servicing, part replacement, and corrosion/damage/serviceability inspection and/or repair of its complete MSA (Mine Safety Appliance) SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus) Cylinders and associated components.

This service must be completed by appropriate certified technicians per the manufacturer, utilizing proprietary MFG (manufacturer) parts and components complying with all applicable OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) laws and regulations.

The contractor must be able to provide pre coordinated RRMC F&ES escorted (prescreened/authorized) personnel for access to and from the facility with the appropriate transport vehicle licensed and insured for pickup and delivery of any above-mentioned items. This service coordination, and cyclical rotation of items per service requirements with RRMC F&ES, (specific point of contact to RRMC F&ES discretion) is to always maintain facility and mission readiness.

RRMC has the regulatory requirement for complete certified maintenance and Hydrostatic certification testing of MSA 45 and 60 min. SCBA cylinders, MSA Escape pack 3K psi (online confined space) cylinders, and 6000 PSI Cascade Cylinders. This maintenance and testing must comply with all applicable 29CFR1910.134(i), 49 CFR Part 180, ANSI Z88.2, NFPA 1981, NFPA 1852, and DOT (Dept. of Transportation) transportation laws and regulations.
