The 35th Contracting Squadron, Misawa AB, Japan intends to issue a sole-source procurement action to Motorola Solutions, Inc. to provide a Wrong Way Detection System to the base’s Security Forces Squadron. The proposed contract is for items for which the Government intends to solicit from only one source in accordance with (IAW) FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(ii). This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement action and is not a request for competitive proposals.
However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 10 days after date of publication of this notice. Firms who want to challenge the sole source must submit an interest letter that demonstrates your firm’s ability to provide an equivalent supply/service as described above. Interested parties must provide a rationale as to why they should be considered.
This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2024-05, DFARS Change 08/15/2024, and DAFAC 2024-0612. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334511. The associated Small Business Size Standard is 1,350 employees. The Product Service Code (PSC) is 6350. Questions are due no later than 1:00 PM Japan Standard Time, 30 Aug 2024. Any questions submitted after may not be considered timely.
Untimely questions may not be answered before the deadline for quote submission. Quotes are due no later than 1:00 PM Japan Standard Time, 6 Sep 2024. Failure to provide quotes before the listed date and time may result in a quote being considered untimely, and the company considered unresponsive. Untimely quotes may not be considered for award unless if deemed in the best interest of the Government.
All attachments should be reviewed and submitted with applicable information filled in as needed to submit an accurate quote with all relevant/requested company information in order to not be considered unresponsive.
