1,500t of Base Gravel for Cheyenne River Agency,SD

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE ORDER. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITVE PROPOSALS.

The United States Department of the Interior (DOI), Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Pacific Region Office (PRO), intends to enter into a sole source Firm-Fixed Price order with Border States Paving, SAM UEI: HAD5B4LPKJZ5, a Non-Indian Owned Small Business, for 1,500t of Base Gravel, under the authority of FAR RFO 12.201(a), Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.

Borders States Paving is the only local supplier with a surplus SDDOT-spec road base gravel located within approximately one mile of Eagle Butte, SD. This gravel meets required specifications and is immediately accessible for self-haul, making it the only source able to meet the Government¿s urgent need without transportation cost or delay. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 212321 and the Business Size Standard is 500 Employees. This is a Notice of Intent to Sole Source only.

This is not a request for competitive quotes, solicitation announcement or an announcement for a forthcoming solicitation or RFQ. No combined synopsis/solicitation, solicitation, or solicitation package will be issued for this procurement. No technical questions will be answered regarding this requirement.
