Notice of Intent to Solicit and Award Sole Source VeritiPro Thermal Cyclers

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) intends to solicit and award a sole source firm-fixed price purchase order for procurement of two (2) Life Technologies Corporation(also known as Applied Biosystems or its parent company, Thermo Fisher Scientific) VeritiPro Thermal Cyclers with a trade in option.

A formal combined synopsis/solicitation will not occur. All solicitation communication will occur directly with the proposed contractor.

This acquisition is for a commercial item or service and is conducted under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13—Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR Part 12—Acquisition of Commercial Items. It is not expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold. The notice of award and the written sole source justification will be posted after award.
