NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE TO DEPUY SYNTHES SALES, INC.

In accordance with FAR 5.2, this is a notification of a proposed sole-source contract action to DePuy Synthes Sales incorporated to acquire warranty for VELYS Robotic-Assisted Orthopedic System software currently used throughout the Operating/Surgical Orthopedic System at ATAMMC (A.T. Augusta Military Medical Center) and surrounding regional clinics.

The Operation/Surgical Logistics and Equipment Maintenance and Repairs at ATAMMC, intends to solicit and award on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) to DePuy Synthes Sales, Inc., 700 Orthopedic Dr. Warsaw, IN 46582 USA. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

DePuy Synthes Sales incorporated is the sole source capable of providing the required Intercommunication Station units. This software purchase is to support the robotic-assisted orthopedic system currently used throughout the Operating/Surgical Orthopedic System at ATAMMC and surrounding regional clinics. Interested vendors may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact.
