THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT. The Health Contracting Readiness Office (HRCO). JBSA - Fort Sam Houston, Texas intends to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to COSMED USA Inc., 1850 Bates Avenue, Concord, CA 94520, under the authority 41 U.S.C. 1901, IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) Only one source is reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization.

The requirement is for a maintenance plan service contract for all BodPod equipment manufactured by COSMED USA Inc. This requirement will be for Army/Armed Forces Wellness Center Operations, Defense Centers for Public Health – Aberdeen. Award will be on or about 1 July 2023. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. The period of performance 1 July 2023 through 30 June 2025. The Small Business Size Standard is 1000 Number of Employees.

This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. No telephonic inquires will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract for the non-personal service of medical maintenance plan for the Government-owned BodPod equipment manufactured by COSMED USA Inc. The Contracting Officer determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonable available. A solicitation will not be published.
