Washington, DC Description: The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) anticipates hosting an Inmate Electronic Tablet Devices Industry Day & Vendor Demonstration. This event will take place in Washington, DC. A future date, time, and exact location will be posted as an update to this notice when available.

The purpose of this event is for the FBOP to gain a perspective on the commercially available inmate electronic tablet devices that are appropriate for a correctional environment through information exchanges with interested participants. This information will be utilized as Market Research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, part 10, and used to refine the FBOP’s requirement. It is anticipated the FBOP will follow up with a solicitation at a later date.

Interested participants are encouraged, but not required at this time, to submit brief capability statements to Mason Lacy, Senior Contracting Officer at mlacy@bop.gov and cc Ryan Wynne, Chief, at rwynne@bop.gov. The Industry Day and Vendor Demonstration registration forms will be made available when a date is established.
