TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

General: The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, transportation, equipment, parts, tools, and materials required for water quality testing IAW specification provided. The Contractor shall provide all bottles for water samples to be collected. USCG personnel shall collect water samples from two (2) different locations located at Base Elizabeth City each month. The water samples shall be labeled accordingly for each location.

The Contractor shall pick-up two (2) water samples each month at USCG Base Elizabeth City, 1664 Weeksville Road, Elizabeth City NC 27909 to be tested. The Contractor shall provide water quality testing ONE (1) TIME EACH MONTH during the contract year and is considered a monthly service. There will be a grand total of twenty five (25) water samples collected and tested during the contract year to include:

Two (2) water samples x Twelve (12) months = 24 samples One (1) water sample x annually = 1 sample The Contractor shall send the collected water samples MONTHLY to a certified laboratory to analyze for the following contaminants: Total & Fecal Coliform, Turbidity and pH. ONCE A YEAR…. The Contractor shall send one (1) collected water sample to a certified laboratory to analyze for the following contaminants: TTHM (Total Trihalomethane) & HAA5 (Haloacetic Acids).

The Contractor shall send all water samples to an EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) Certified Laboratory to have the water samples analyzed. The Contractor shall follow all procedures set forth by the laboratory to include sampling specifics, chain of custody, etc. as needed from the laboratory. The Contractor shall provide the detailed certified lab results digitally each month after testing is completed.

The Contractor shall provide this documentation to the Contracting Officers Representative (COR) within ten (10) calendar days after samples have been collected & an The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, transportation, equipment, parts, tools, and materials required for water quality testing IAW specification provided on an as needed basis. The Contractor shall provide all sampling equipment for samples to be collected as well as equipment for rush shipment.

USCG members/personnel shall collect water samples from Base Elizabeth City. The water samples shall be labeled accordingly for each location and packaged for rush/express shipment. The Contractor shall ship all materials for sampling to USCG Base Elizabeth City, 1664 Weeksville Road, Elizabeth City NC 27909. USCG personnel shall test, package samples, and ship to Contractor facility for testing via rush/express shipping (materials to be provided for by Contractor).

The Contractor shall provide water quality testing on one-hundred (100) samples. There will be a grand total of one-hundred (100) samples (each) collected and tested for the following parameters: Lead Copper Iron Reducing Bacteria Slime Forming Bacteria The Contractor shall provide water quality testing on one-hundred (100) samples.

There will be a total of one-hundred (100) samples (each) collected and tested for the following parameters: Trihalomethanes Haloacetic Acid Lead Copper Color Total Dissolved Solids Odor Turbidity The Contractor, upon receipt of USCG-taken samples, shall use an EPA certified laboratory to analyze water samples. The Contractor shall follow all procedures set forth by the laboratory to include sampling specifications, chain of custody, and others as needed by the lab.

The Contractor shall provide the detailed certified lab results digitally after testing is completed. The Contractor shall provide this documentation to the Contracting Officers Representative (COR) within five (5) calendar days after samples have been analyzed. The Contractor shall schedule all work with the Contracting Officers Representative (COR).

NOTE: All samples will be taken by USCG members/personnel and tested, packaged, and then shipped to the Contractor’s facility for analysis. The Contractor shall provide detailed analysis as described above within five (5) calendar days after samples have been analyzed. All packaging, materials, and sampling supplies will be provided by the Contractor to the USCG.
