Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source for Zeiss Microscope Software and Hardware Support

The 28th Contracting Squadron, Ellsworth AFB, SD intends to award a sole source contract to Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC for software and hardware to support existing equipment.

APPLICABILITIY OF AUTHORITY: The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition for this aquisition is the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Department of the Air Force Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DAFFARS). FAR 13.106-l(b)(l)(i) justifies limiting the source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The attached Sole Source Justification outlines the Contracting Officer's justification and reasoning to award a sole source award to Airside Solutions, Inc. All responsible source who believe they can meet all of the requriements in the attached salient characterisitics.
