Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 21 (NCO 21) hereby gives notice of the Governments intent to negotiate a sole source, Firm-Fixed-Priced Purchase Order with only one source, Pure Processing, LLC. The procurement is for VA Northern California Healthcare System requesting to procure PureSteel Healthcare Reprocessing Sinks for the Pathology and Laboratory Services Department.

The PureSteel Healthcare Reprocessing Sinks provides electronic push button height adjustment to meet ergonomic requirements for both technicians and nurses. It provides an ergonomic wrist rest to avoid pinch points during reprocessing to help reduce injuries. It also provides height adjustable shelving, an back wall pegboard, and enhanced lighting to assist with better vision.

This action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii) and 41 USC §1901, only one will meet the Government s needs. Only one source is capable of responding due to the unique or specialized nature of the supplies and/or services. It is the Government s belief that the proposed candidate is the only provider of PureStell Healthcare Reprocessing Sink that can meet the agency s needs.

The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339113 (Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing) and the Product Service Code (PSC) is 6515 (Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies). This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Telephone request will not be accepted.

However, any business that believes it can provide the PureSteel Healthcare Reprocessing Sinks may give written notice to jason.olliff@va.gov by 10:00 AM Pacific Time on May 2nd , 2024. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement.

Responses will be considered by the Government; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. THIS SYNOPSIS DOES NOT COMMIT THE GOVERNMENT TO CONTRACT FOR ANY SUPPLY OR SERVICE. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT PAY FOR ANY INFORMATION OR ADMINISTRATIVE COST INCURRED IN RESPONSE TO THIS SYNOPSIS.
