Special Notice Special Notice Page 3 of 3 Special Notice *= Required Field Special Notice Page 1 of 3 NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 16, intends to award a Firm Fixed Price sole-source contract to Olympus America Inc in accordance with FAR Part 8.405-6(a)(1)(B). The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System at 4300 West 7Th Street, Little Rock AR requests Olympus Rhino Laryngoscopes.

The justification for this non-competitive solicitation is due to Olympus America Inc, being the sole supplier of requested items to the VA Hospital. The NAICS code for this procurement is 339112 Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing with 1,000 employees. Sole source items: The items that will be purchased is a quantity of six (6) ENF-VH Flexible video HD Rhino Laryngoscopes. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no Solicitation will be issued.

Market research has determined that this product is highly specialized and only available from a single source without an unacceptable delay or duplication of cost and no other type of supply will satisfy agency requirements.

The Government intends to award the contract with an effective date of May 2, 2025, to Olympus America Inc | 3500 Corporate Parkway | Center Valley, PA 18034. However, interested parties may identify their skill and ability by sending capability statements about this requirement to the Contracting Officer within three (3) calendar days of this publication by contacting Arlene A.
