Emergency Scope Repair POP: 9/23/24 - 12/31/24

SPECIAL NOTICE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, Cleveland, Ohio, is soliciting and intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order for the emergency repair of three Olympus scopes located at the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center. NAICS Code 811210, size standard $34.0 million.

The Government intends, in accordance with FAR 6.302.1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements), to negotiate on a sole source basis with Olympus America Inc (2400 Ringwood Avenue, San Jose, CA 95131), for this procurement due to the proprietary nature of the repairs that must be completed by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government.

Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received NLT 12:00pm Eastern on 9/11/2024.
