This is a Notice of Intent published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101(a)(1) requiring the dissemination of information regarding proposed contract actions. This Notice of Intent is for a proposed award of a sole source, firm-fixed price contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C.

3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR subpart 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Products and Commercial Services The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8 intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price Contract for Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) Intravenous Feeding Bags for patients cared for at the Miami VA Healthcare System.

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Miami VAMC requires a Base plus Four (4) Option Years to provide patient specific compounded Total Peripheral Nutrition (TPN) bags for critically ill, malnourished and/or patients lacking a functional gastrointestinal system. Only One Source is capable of providing the required services to meet each specific patient needs within twenty-four (24) hours. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 325412 and the service code is Q517.

While this synopsis does not constitute a solicitation, interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to satisfy the requirement. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which may be considered by the agency. The Government understands that Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, LLC is the only vendor that can provide the requested Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) Intravenous Feeding Bags.

However, vendors that believe they can provide the capabilities required to fully meet the Government's requirement may submit information in writing to john.quijadajr@va.gov . Such documentation will be reviewed solely for planning purposes. A determination not to compete this requirement, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
