Modification to a Previous Notice Modification to a Previous Notice Page 3 of 3 *= Required Field Modification to a Previous Notice Page 1 of 3 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8, announces its intention to award a sole-source, firm-fixed contract to Vicon Motion Systems, Inc. for the Vicon Valkere 8 System.

The contract is for the Research Service department located at the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital, situated at 8900 Grand Oaks Circle, Tampa, FL 33637. The anticipated award is based on FAR 13.106.1(b), which allows for sole-source contracts when only one source can provide the required supplies or services at the necessary quality level due to their unique or highly specialized nature.

The contract will be a firm-fixed-price contract under NAICS Code 333310, with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. A Sole Source Justification has been prepared. The contract's base period-of-performance is from July 11, 2023, to August 31, 2024. This announcement is not a call for competitive proposals or a solicitation for offers. No solicitation package will be provided. The decision not to compete is at the Government's sole discretion.

Any responses to this notice must provide clear and convincing evidence that competition would be beneficial to the Government. Additionally, responsible sources may submit a capabilities statement demonstrating, by a preponderance of the evidence, that another contractor can provide a service contract for the Vicon Valkere 8 system for the Research Service department.
