NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - James J. Peters VA Medical Center The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed-price purchase order to Hologic, Inc., for a service maintenance requirement covering the ThinPrep 2000 Processor and Compass Stainer instruments at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center, located at 130 West Kingsbridge Road, Bronx, NY 10468-3904.

The scope of services includes yearly preventative maintenance, a yearly customer care call, on-site service and application support, and phone technical support. As confirmed by a proprietary letter from the manufacturer, Hologic is the only authorized service provider for this equipment. Consequently, based on market research findings that did not identify any other qualified vendors, a sole-source award is deemed necessary.
