Special Notice Special Notice Page 3 of 3 Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source   The Department of Veterans Affairs, James J. Peters (Bronx) VAMC, intends to award a Firm Fixed Price sole source contract to CENSIS TECHNOLOGIES, INC. under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) (1)(ii) to CENSIS TECHNOLOGIES, INC., located at 4031 ASPEN GROVE DR STE 350 FRANKLIN, TN 37067 for the Censis Zebra TC52-ax PDA Standard Bundle and FIPS Compliant wireless scanner.

This requirement is to maximize the use of the Censis Technologies and Censitrac Instrument Tracking System, which are currently deployed at all VISN 2 medical centers. They are also compatible with the existing system that the Sterile Processing Department currently owns and uses as a direct plug-and-play to ensure compatibility. Thus, it allows instant access to avoid interruptions to the patient.

The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 334118 Computer Terminal and Other Computer Peripheral Equipment Manufacturing and the PSC is 7E21 (IT and Telecom - Mobile Device Products, Hardware And Perpetual License Software).

This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Interested and capable sources who submit capabilities in support of this requirement are responsible for appropriately marking information if it s proprietary in nature. The Government shall not reimburse interested sources for any information provided.

Due to the urgency of the need, this requirement will be sole sourced.  Any capabilities received in response to this notice shall be considered for future requirements. No requests for capability briefings or telephonic inquiries will be honored.
