Special Notice Special Notice Page 3 of 3 Special Notice *= Required Field Special Notice Page 1 of 3 NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - BD Bactec MGIT 960 Mycobacterial Detections System Requirement: The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 1, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service (P&LMS) requires a 5-Year cost per test BPA for the BD Bactec MGIT 960 Mycobacterial Detections System. This shall include instrumentation as well as all necessary supplies, reagents, collection and testing kits, service, maintenance, and parts needed to produce a patient result. Contractor shall provide the testing reagents and supplies for use on the BD Bactec MGIT 960 Mycobacterial Detections System.

05/17/2028 05/16/2029 Year 5: 05/17/2029 05/16/2030 Responses received will be reviewed; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, Network Contracting Office 1 will proceed with the sole source negotiation with BD Bactec MGIT as noted herein.

Costs associated with the preparation and submission of information and/or any follow-up information requests are the responsibility of the vendor, and these costs will not be reimbursed by the Government. Verbal and telephonic inquiries will not be accepted. The authority for applying the Simplified Procedures for Commercial Items of FAR 13.5 is 41 U.S.C. 1901. The intent is to procure the referenced services on a sole source basis. No solicitation will be posted to Contract Opportunities.

The North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) for this requirement is 325413. All responsible sources that feel they should be considered qualified to provide the above-mentioned products may submit a response to this notice (by the response due date shown above) to Sarah.Otis@va.gov. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE.
