US Department of Veterans Affairs Brand Name or Equivalent for Dino Software Universal Data Manager License and Maintenance The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology, Infrastructure Operations (IO) Chief of Staff Acquisitions and Logistics has a requirement for brand name or equivalent Dino-Software Universal Data Manager license and maintenance support.

VA has a requirement for storage management and a solution to managing an organization s Z Operating System (z/OS) Storage at an Enterprise Level, including, Tape Catalogs, Data Facility Storage Management Subsystem Hierarchical Storage Management (DFSMShsm), CA-Disk, Integrated Catalog Facility Catalogs, direct-access storage device Volumes, DFSMS objects, Spool data and other related objects.

The overall ease of installation and automated analysis provides the controls, information and reporting needed to manage the dynamics of modern Storage environment. VA requires virtual storage access method for records and catalog management; the ability to analyze, diagnose, and report; backups; repair clusters; and integrated catalog facility components.

Software maintenance is necessary to receive software upgrades and updates to the licensed central processing unit and mega instructions per second based software. The support includes major releases, point releases, service releases and security releases on a quarterly basis, and/or within 48 hours in cases in which a high-risk vulnerability fix becomes available. These software upgrades and updates are necessary to operate successfully and are required to ensure the software remains operational.

This combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services is prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6. The combined synopsis/solicitation is issued as an unrestricted acquisition for Brand Name or Equivalent Dino Software Universal Data Manager License and Maintenance. The intended award will be a firm-fixed price contract.

In accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(16)(ii), all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.

The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) for this effort is 513210. The anticipated award date is on or about September 19, 2024. This notification shall close on September 10, 2024 at 3:00 PM EST.
