DES Support Services, Fort Irwin, CA

The United States Army Garrison – Fort Irwin requests the approval of a 130 day extension to the period of performance for the Directorate of Emergency Services (DES) Support Services Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) Definitive contract, W9124B-22-C-0003, to High Desert Support Services, LLC (HDSS), 4171 Essen Ln, Baton Rouge, LA 70809-2157. The Government projects extension of this procurement on 8 March 2024. Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Operations and Maintenance Army (OMA) funds will be used.

An acquisition plan is not required because this procurement does not meet the threshold in accordance with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) 207.103(d)(i)(B). The DES Support Services contract was awarded on 9 February 2024. This contract award was a result of corrective action taken by the government in January 2024 from a previous post-award GAO protest submitted in October 2023. The corrective action consisted of a new past performance evaluation and new award decision. This extension is required due to a post-award GAO protest submitted on 20 February 2023. As of 29 February 2024, the projected date for a GAO decision is 30 May 2024.
