The Embassy operates a fuel distribution system comprised of two underground diesel tanks, each with a capacity of 20000 liters, one underground petrol tank with a capacity of 15000 liters, one diesel dispenser and one petrol dispenser both are located on the Embassy compound.

The current fuel station, including underground storage tanks and dispensers is owned by TotalEnergies Marketing Tanzania Ltd. The successful contract shall arrange and coordinate with TotalEnergies to remove the existing fuel distribution system, including underground storage tanks and dispensers from the Embassy compound and shall also install and operate a fuel distribution system, including one underground storage tank with a 20000 liters capacity and one dispenser.

The contract shall invoice the Embassy a service fee only for the above-mentioned services and not for the newly installed equipment and software. The system will remain in the possession of the contractor. Supply of Bulk Fuel The Contractor shall provide high grade diesel to the U.S. Embassy Dar Es Salaam, as described in this solicitation. For each month of the contract, the U.S. Government expects but not guarantees a minimum order of forty-one thousand (41,000) Liters of Diesel.

The maximum amount of fuel ordered under each year of the contract shall not exceed five hundred thousand (500,000) liters of diesel. These minimum and maximum values are estimates. The anticipated performance period is for a base year, with four one-year option periods, if exercised by the Government.? All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which will be considered. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion.

The award is anticipated to be a fixed price requirements type contract under which will be issued firm, fixed-price task orders.
