Elevator maintenance at USG office buildings and residences

Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract The Department of State intends to award a sole source contract to KONE Belgium SA. The firm fixed-price contract will provide for continued elevator maintenance services. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, the government has determined that KONE Belgium SA is the only responsible source able to provide the continued elevator maintenance services required on KONE elevators at the office buildings and residences.

This is not a request for competitive proposals, and no solicitation is available. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency. Interested sources must respond in writing with clear and convincing evidence to support their ability to provide the required services within seven (7) days of this publication. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government.
