Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for competitive proposals. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC), in conjunction with the National Conservation Resource Service (NRCS), Michigan State Office intends to award a sole source purchase order to Geophysical Survey Systems, Inc. (GSSI)

Requirements: The requirement is for replacement parts for a government owned SIR-400 ground penetrating radar (GPR) manufactured by Geophysical Survey Systems, Inc. (GSSI).

Required Supplies: Qty 2 - FG62X-SKIDASSY - Replacement bucket (white) with straps for 62X cart Qty 2 - FGMISC - F-35-366 Skid Yoke for 62X Cart Qty 1 - FGMOD624 - Utility Cart, 3 wheel, for SIR 4000 Qty. 1 - FGMOD50400S - 400 MHz Antenna, w/ Smart ID The proposed contract action is for commercial items for which the Government intends to solicit in accordance with (IAW) Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) 13.5, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. The resulting procurement will be conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) for this acquisition is:

334511 Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing. This is not a solicitation for competitive quotes, however, if any other interested party believes that it can provide the required products, it may submit a statement of capabilities. Capability statements must display sufficient detail and evidence to determine if the party has the ability to provide the required products.

The statement of capabilities must be furnished in writing and emailed to eugene.jackson2@usda.gov and Shermeka.showers@usda.gov by July 31, 2024, at 10:00 am Eastern Time (ET). The government will not pay for information received in response to this announcement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. This is a notice, and a solicitation will not be issued. Oral communications will not be accepted in response to this notice.
