SOLE SOURCE - HAMILTON ROBOTICS Preventative Maintenance contracts for the Hamilton NGS star machine require immediate repair turnaround time as well as checks that confirm the performance of the instrument. The samples tested on the instrument can require 1-2 day turnaround. This makes any instrument downtime unacceptable. There are several sample types tested using this instrument including but not limited to, NAHLN antimicrobial resistance study, World Mycobacterium Bovis Project and HPAI outbreak.

Any loss of functionality would be detrimental to the functioning of the laboratory and the expectations of results. Hamilton Robotics company has the unique qualifications for this bid because they are the only manufacturer and seller of the Hamilton NGS star instruments. There is no other option to buy these items. The need for immediate repairs is an itregal part of this contract. As well as verification that the following parts are functioning to their optimal level.

These include independent channel Volume Verification for 1 mL and 5 mL channels, Volume verification for 96 and 384 Multi-Probe Heads, Heater/Shaker Verification which includes Amplitude, Frequency and Temperature. Barcode read verification and XYZ position verification. And ensure the door lock mechanism works properly.

Should the system have issues outside of the normal PM visits this ensures that Priority dispatch with a target response of 24 hours for a down instrument, a guaranteed response time of 48 hours for a down instrument, a guaranteed call back time of 4 hours and the cost of parts, travel, and labor are all included in this PM contract. No other company has the capability to perform these functions in the correct and efficient manner.
