Intent to Sole to Biomerieux Inc

The Navajo Area Indian Health Service, Pinon Health Center, intends to award a non-competitive, sole source purchase order to Proposed Contractor, Biomerieux Inc, for tests regeants kits for Biofire Analyser. Authority cited FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(ii) only this source can furnish the requirements, to the exclusion of other sources, because the vendor is the only distributor of pouches and staff has recieved training to operate the instrument for testing.

The proposed contractor shall provide test regeants kits for the Pinon Health Center for fiscal year of 2024, period of performance 05/01/2024 - 12/31/2024. The proposed contractor is the only organization uniquely qualified to provide the required testing pouches to ensure that there is no interruption in services that could impact direct patient care. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract ia not a request for competitive proposals. There will be no solicitation available for competitive quotes.

Any response to this notice must show clear and convicing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Respondents are advised that the Governement is under no obligations to acknowledge receipt of the information submitted. If no affirmative written response is recieved by May 06, 2024 5:00 PM MST, the contact will be issued without further notice.

A determination by the Governemnt not o compere the proposed procurement base upon responses to this notice is solely within discretion of the Governement. Information recieved will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitivr procurement in the future.

Any solicitation resulting from the analysis of information obtained will be announced to the public in Federal Business Oppotunitites in accordance with the FAR Part 5. However, responses to this notice will not be considered adwquate responses to a solicitation. No proprietary, classified, confidential, or sensitive information should be included in your response. The Government rserves the right to use any non-proprietary techincal information in any resultant solicitation(s).
