Notice of Intent to Sole Source Brand Name or Equal - USDA NGIC Project

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Buffalo District will be soliciting proposals for the US Department of Agriculture National Grapes Improvement Center at Cornell University (USDA NGIC). The project site is located on the USDA-Cornell University AgriTech Campus, in Geneva, New York.

As part of the construction contract solicitation, the USACE intends to include the following sole source requirement: Door Hardware Sets - per the Design Standards, the listed proprietary manufacturers and models listed in the project documentation are minimum requirements for hardware sets to be met. These specific hardware sets have been selected and approved in order to maintain similar components across all facilities within the Campus.

Components such as locks, exit devices, closers and key cylinders are required to interface with the existing University facility maintenance access. Brand names include Hager-Roton, Securitron, Sargent, Rockwood, NGP, Alum Door Manufacturer, National Guard, GJ, Schlage, McKinney, Rixson, LCN and Assa Abloy. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency.
