Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Property And Fiscal Office For California intends to require, on a sole source basis, a brand name requirement for the Shuttlelift Preventative Maintenance and Repair Services for seven (7) Kardex Remstar machines for the Stockton Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF).

Stockton AASF has seven (7) Kardex Remstar storage machines that are in use periodically during the workdays approximately 50 hours per week and sometimes up to 70 hours per week during peak periods of up to 4 months per year. The intent of the sole source requirement is to provide for any future repairs that may occur during the contract period are to be completed by the vendor which will be the exclusive authorized factory sales and service dealer for all Kardex Remstar replacement parts.

The vendor will complete all preventative maintenance and servicing in accordance with manufacturer instructions to ensure machines are available for use. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. It is a market research tool being used to determine the availability of other qualified sources that can meet the requirements identified above and inherent with the referenced Kardex Remstar equipment.

The Government is not obligated to, and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice of intent. All responses received within 15 days of the posting of this notice of intent will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government to require the brand name for the Kardex Remstar service procurement based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

Information received will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to allow alternate system manufacturers. Submit any inquiries within 15 days of the posting of this notice of intent via email to:
