2024 Women of Color STEM Career Fair and Conference

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to award a sole source Firm Fixed Price purchase order to Career Communications Group Inc. for registrations/memberships to the 2024 Women of Color STEM Career Fair and Conference scheduled to take place in Detroit, MI during the period 03 October 2024 to 06 October 2024. Every year, USACE attends and is represented at multiple conferences.

At many of these conferences, the purchase of the booth rental acts as the conference registration or the conference space needed for the attendees. The Women of Color STEM Conference provides young women a transformative experience, as it promotes leadership in technology and engineering fields, to ensure young women professionals have the right tools to be prepared and successful in their technology careers.

This is a special notice prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2 Synopses of Proposed Contract Action. A solicitation will not be posted. However, any firm that believes it can meet this requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within fifteen (15) days of publication of this announcement. Supporting evidence must be submitted in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Responses received will be evaluated.

However, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will proceed with awarding a Firm Fixed contract to Career Communications Group Inc.
